Scholarships:

Each spring the department awards student scholarships, with amounts and number of scholarships dependent on the generosity of alumni and department supporters. Scholarships are awarded at a College of Liberal Arts ceremony in April for the following fall and spring semesters.

If you are interested in being considered and have a minimum overall GPA of 2.0, submit a resume and letter to Dr. Paula F. Furr, department head, stating your qualifications, interest in journalism and mass communications and reasons for seeking a scholarship. Please, note that scholarship information is also available on the Journalism Department Topics Blackboard Site (JOUR 000599Z) for enrolled journalism majors.

Completed applications may be brought to the journalism office, 103 Kyser Hall, or may be e-mailed to hallm@nsula.edu or furrp@nsula.edu

Please, contact the department for more information or call us at (800) 256.8025.
