William Broussard, Ph.D., is the executive director of the Northwestern State University Athletic Association, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that promotes and secures funding for the Demon Athletic Department. Prior to accepting his current position, Broussard served stints as an adjunct faculty member at Pima Community College in Tucson, Ariz., and rhetoric and writing instructor at the University of Arizona, where he earned his master’s and doctorate degrees in rhetoric and composition. He also founded and coordinated the CATS Center for Learning and Writing (CATS CLAW) for Arizona Athletics. His research interests include social movement rhetorics (particularly of non-profit organizations), the history and culture of American college athletics, rhetorical and critical discourse analysis. His interest in journalism is primarily in journalism as a medium for rhetorical and fantasy theme analysis. He is particularly interested in the genres of ethnography and autoethnography
